Batting highlights after being asked to bat included an assured half-century from Paul Brooks.There were satisfactory partnerships of around twenty from several pairs that could and should have been better. Barker, Parke & Briggs in reply for Oxenford scored rapidly but could not convert good starts to half centuries. Oxenford looked on-course for a comfortable victory till Paul Tyrer did the damage with accurate swing bowling netting him a man-of-the-match award winning 5 wicket haul, ably backed up by Nick Hill, Jo Cazabon and Luke Bowerman who all chipped in with important wickets.
