4th June 2007 Kennington U15 v Challow, lost by 45 runs

Fielding first, none of the bowlers were on form and the Challow batsmen took full advantage. The exception to this was Adam Flint who bowled line and length forcing the batsmen to make mistakes, his 3 wickets for 11 runs was by far the best set of figures on a day the other bowlers would prefer to forget! A smart stumping by Andy Russell, and taking the three catches offered were the only other highlights in a strangely lackluster fielding performance.

The Kennington batsmen took the field facing a formidable challenge, to score 132 off 20 overs. They began well enough but the Challow attack, bowling fast and straight, took three quick wickets and put Kennington behind the clock. Jack Spencer-Matthews (29 no) and Johnny Stuart (23) batted well, but were never going to threaten the large Challow score.

Next match:- Friday 9th June away v Oxford Downs.
