A tie! Batting first, Kennington lost 7 wickets in all, including some suicidal runouts, and so despite 14 no from James Rowley, and contributions from everyone else, Kennington reached just 234. However, Kennington bowled well, and took 6 early wickets. With the last pair and 4 overs to go, Cumnor still needed 27 to win. But Kennington were unable to take any more wickets, Cumnor scored steadily, and with one ball left, two runs were required for victory. They scrambled a single, leaving the scores level - a tie!
