Abingdon batted first but struggled against accurate bowling and really excellent fielding, which included two runouts (one a direct hit by Ellis Wellstead), two catches by Aaron Levvy (one a very sharp low catch)and two stumpings by Nick Wilks. Ten wickets were taken, and Abingdon reached only 213. In reply, the first three pairs batted very sensibly, although with the last pair coming to the crease, Kennington were only 8 runs ahead. However, Nick Wilks (26) and Oliver Purcell (16 no) then took the game away from Abingdon, playing some very powerful shots. They added 44 runs, closing on 265, a win by 52 runs.
